If you call, you might speak with the owner! If not, one of his sons can help you. They're friendly and take time to explain what needs to be/has been done.
If anything was still wrong when I picked up the car, they'd always take it back and fix it immediately. The only people who get better service probably pay lots more (I've never lived in the city or owned a Rolls-Royce). Great small town mechanic.
4.9 out of 5! Good service, good pricing. I've had Jim & Co. do small things (speedo cable, PS pump) and fairly large jobs (head gaskets, valve jobs, transmission swap). The shop is popular, so don't be amazed if you have to wait a week or so.
